Oxide Red Patchwork Juniper Cropped Coat

This coat is unique because the original quilt is mimicked after the labor intensive and embellished embroidery and mixed materials of a Crazy Quilt.

Crazy Quilts typically employ more exotic pieces of fabric other than cotton, such as velvet, satin, silks, wools, knits, and unique embroidery. Palettes chosen for these quilts are usually richer than typical quilts. At the heigh of the Victorian era, between 1880 and 1910, homes could not have enough embellishment.
